Breakfast was ok. For the money, fresh rolls would be nice on Sundays (no Aufbackbrötchen). Unfortunately, after the meal, no service came near the table to order new drinks.

Great quiet place for a breakfast and do some on line work. It has a rustic decor/concept which adds well to the inside seating atmosphere. The outside is well spaced and in a garden type environment. I ate the fresh made cheese and ham croissant, a definite option. Worth the visit. I have returned for another visit.

Friendly and competent service, very tasty food

We stopped just for an espresso when we drove by. It's nice to sit outside and espresso was decent. A small glass of tap water for espresso would have made everything perfect.

If I can sit outside, I love going here. Inside, the tables are sometimes a little too close to each other and there is a separate smoking room. I have tried the salad in all variations, it is very tasty and the house dressing is excellent. At the moment there is a slimmed down menu but there is something for every taste. The toilets in the basement are not accessible for wheelchair users, but are clean and well-kept.

Despite the limitations (corona) super nice service very good food and inexpensive. Always happy 🙂🙃😉

Our first visit to the restaurant under "these circumstances". The hygiene rules were applied well, the employees organized themselves well. A new, clearer menu is certainly also due to the situation. Despite Corona measures we had a nice evening with tasty food and good wine. Things are going up with us again. Thanks a lot.

A disaster. I was so happy to be a guest at the Villa Journal, but those days are over. Unfriendly wait staff, disgusting food, not seasoned and inedible. When I complained about the food, the waitress said, "Well, just don't come anymore". Never again!!!!

Nice ambience, top service, the cocktail tastes like something and is fine-tuned. From breakfast to lunch to dinner menu .... Good selection of delicious dishes. Nice beer garden to linger in summer. Top!

Miserable operation. Rude and conservative stubborn. Miserable food. Even the cakes are out of the freezer! When asked about soy / oat milk, there was a mocking no and contemptuous looks. After all, the interior is made charming.

A good menu and nice location, with outdoor seating in the summer. The service depends a lot who is on duty... but overall an OK place to go for food, drinks, talks.

Been there many times and it is nice, some of the staff are freundlich, but do not go there as soon as they open, when you would be waiting to order for some time. And if you point it out, you be told off by a very rude waitress: I witnessed how she mistreated and reduced to tears a regular patron when she pointed out that she was given the wrong type of tea!
